Even though I did create a love themed two page spread from the Tie the Knot Simply Scrappin' Kit, you can love not only that special someone but your children, friend, dog or job (I love mine, do you?).

 

The flower accents in the center of the scrapbook pages were the same size die-cut as the flower-and-circle-of-words die-cut at the top of the second page.  I used the 1" Circle Punch to eliminate the spouse specific wording.

Tie the Knot (but Not) Simply Scrappin' Scrapbook Pages

Although the Tie the Knot Simply Scrappin' Kit was created for wedding pages, the exclusive Designer Series Paper and self-adhesive die-cuts worked well for other occasions too. 

To keep these pages generic, I cut out three flowers from the Designer Series Paper to cover up the words, love isn't it romantic?, on the journaling block.

I used a fourth cut-out flower along with die-cuts in my group of flowers .  The kits are so wonderful to work with, the coordination of all the elements (card stock, Designer Series Paper and die-cuts) let the design of pages come together easily.

 

 

The color combination is simply elegant - Certainly Celery (my favorite), Chocolate Chip and Kraft.

Enjoy(ing) Every Moment

This Enjoy Every Moment card was one of the ten from one of my Fast & Fabulous Cards class.  The color combination of Night of Navy, Bravo Burgundy and Kraft is a great country or masculine combination.

   

The Antique Brass Build-a-Bradin the center of the flower gave the fast, yet still fabulous, card that extra little something I've written about before.  The Build-a_Brad lets you decide what will be in the center of the brad, for example a stamped image (like above or Designer Series Paper.  You can achieve perfect coordination every time!

One roll across the top of the card with the Daisy Dash Jumbo Wheel in Night of Navy ink quickly gave me my background.

The theme of the swap with my group the Scattered Stampers was to use the new In Colors.  It is hard picking a favorite.  Pink Pirouette is at the top.  Kiwi Kiss coordinates beautifully with so many other colors.  Picking a favorite is nearly impossible.

Bananas for Sock Monkey

Sock Monkey comes with many great accessory stamps.  I think the bananas are my favorite. The accessory stamps give this stamp set such versatility.

 

I used the Stipple Brushes to add some grass and sky so Sock Monkey didn't look like he was floating on air.  The Stipple Brushes are perfect when you want to fill in a larger area with soft color.  The Stipple Brushes keep you from getting heavy areas of ink, such as when using sponges.
