Looking for a quick card idea for the Stampin' Up! Delightful Decorations stamp set (116517) and Ornament Punch(116794) from the Holiday Mini Catalog? My Delightful Decorations card design is just that!
The pretty pine bough designer paper behind the ornament is from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper (115672).
I stamped my ornament in Ruby Red. A gold brad (104337) in the center of the snowflake adds a little pizazz to my Christmas card. But, what really tops it off :) is the Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon (109071) adorning the top of the ornament. I used Stampin' Dimensionals (104430) to give my ornament a little lift. A little dimension takes an ordinary card to a whole new level. I have seen cards with no embellishments, no fancy techniques but with several layers using Stampin' Dimensionals make it a "wow" card.
My Christmas greetings, Welcome Christmas into Your Heart, is from the Heard from the Heart stamp set (111644).
My card stock colors are Ruby Red, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.
Need some or all the stamping supplies to make my card? You can order them all online now on my Stampin' Up! website www.stampinsmiles.stampinup.net! Don't forget, all order placed by November 30 will be placed into a drawing for the Patterned Pines limited-edition stamp set!

In Northern Michigan, deer hunting is not just for sport, many depend on the meat to feed their families. Deer hunting is also a right of passage. A friend's son was deer hunting with my husband and shot his first deer. My apologies if this is an unpleasant subject for you. Personally, I would have to be mighty hungry to have to kill an animal, but I sure have eaten plenty of meat someone else had to kill first. :)
The young man was so excited to have shot his first deer. And, sparing you any gory details, he made an excellent shot. (Mind you, I never went to have a look for myself, hearing about is enough for this small town gal). My Forest Friends stamp set came immediately to mind to make a comical card to commemorate the occasion.
I stamped and cut out three deer in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White card stock. Even with the think legs, it was easy to cut out with my would-not-do-without Paper Snips. If you do not yet own the Paper Snips, run, don't walk, and order them online now!
I used my Close to Cocoa and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers to color the rubber of the tree stamp. I stamp three times before reinking. The lighter images give you the illusion of distance (things further away look lighter).
I layered my forest with Old Olive card stock and layered it all on Close to Cocoa card stock. You will find another card I made using the deer in Forest Friends stamp set here.
Want to have some fun with a hunter in your life? Below are all the supplies I used to make my congrats Forest Friends card.

Don't you just love pretty cards that are quick to make? We are all so busy but still want to let others know they are so special we took the time to make, not buy a mass-produced, card just for them.
The stamp set used to stamp this card is Tree Trimmings. I took my colors from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper - Real Red, Old Olive and Glorious Green. The strip of Designer Series Paper along the side of my card is the Merry Moments.
