Flowering bushes with Stampin’ Up! Petal Parade Stamp Set

As I shared in a video, I really did not care in the slightest for the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Petal Parade Stamp Set.  Eventually got it.  Then played with it.  Made some cute cards.  Now I like it.  The handmade card I am sharing with you today may be my favorite of them all.  Most would call this a clean and simple card.  It is.  I am going to call it simple and pretty with the flowering bushes made possible with the once not liked Petal Parade Stamp Set (wood mount #133599 / clear mount #133602).

Pretty Stampin' Up! Petal Parade Card

Should we start with the little flowers or the bushes?  The bushes would be smart because very soon you will not be able to get the Petal Parade Stamp Set.  You cannot buy it.  The only way to get your hands on the Petal Parade Stamp Set is to choose it as your FREE gift with a $50 purchase by March 31, 2014 in my online store

Now that the matter of urgency has been addressed, let’s chat about how quick and easy it is to make this handmade card.  I started with a 1-3/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock #100730.  Laid it approximately in the center and used as a guide for stamping the bush stamp three times across with Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin’ Pad #131180 ink.  Turned the 1-3/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock around and repeated.  The bushes did not look full enough, so I stamped in between without re-inking.

Then the flowers were added.  Of course, I had consulted my Color Coach #130118 to find a striking color combination.  Could I have come up with this on my own?  Sure.  After pulling out sheet after sheet of card stock and trying many different combinations.  The Color Coach gets my imagination going and always saves time.

Sure am good getting off track today. 🙂  We were talking about the flowers.  The two different flower shapes were made with punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309.   The colors of cardstock for the flowers are Rich Razzleberry #115316 and Pink Pirouette #111351.  The flowers looked unfinished.  So, I added a So Saffron # circle made with the Cupcake Builder Punch #121807.  They are so sweet.

Always needing thank you cards, and wanting a large greeting to fill the space, my chosen greeting is from the Stampin’ Up! Lots of Thanks Stamp Set (wood mount #129687 / clear mount #129690).  It was stamped with Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin’ Pad ink #126950 on the 1-3/4″ x 4″ Whisper White Card Stock.  The 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece was then adhered to a 4-1/4″ x 11″ Whisper White Card Stock piece scored at 5-1/2″ with Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430.  So easy, so pretty.
