Have you seen the new Double Take Stamp Set with large two-tone greetings? That is the stamp set that was used to make my clean and simple Stampin’ Up! Double Take card.
There are two stamps to make the two-tone green thanks stamped with Cucumber Crush and Garden Green Classic Stampin’ Pads. Lining up the stamps is easy because they are photopolymer (clear) stamps. You can see where you’re stamping. Here’s a hint, start with stamping the darkest color for even easier placement.
You can use two different colors, like I did, or use one color. If you use one color, you’ll want to stamp one of the stamps as normal, then ink up the second stamp, stamp it on a piece of scrap paper and then stamp to fill in the rest of the word. This technique is called Stamping Off because you are “stamping off” some of the ink to get a lighter version of the same color.
Cucumber Crush is one of the 2015-2017 In Colors. They will be retiring with the 2016-2017 Stampin’ Up! Catalog and will soon be no longer available to order. Once the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Retiring Stamp Sets and Accessories List are released on April 10, all retiring accessories will be available only while supplies last.
Because stampers are aware of how quickly retiring accessories can and do sell out, they have been busy ordering 2015-2017 In Color products before the list is released. So busy, in fact, that all the 2015-2017 In Color Classic Ink Refills (to re-ink the Classic Stampin’ Pads) are already on back order. I must admit I’m a bit concerned that if the ordering continues at the level it has been that the shipment coming in will only cover the back orders.
If you want any of the 2015-2017 In Color products, including ink pads, ink refills, cardstock, Designer Series Paper, ribbon and any other accessories that use those colors, order them as quickly as possible in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.
