Do you have the Sizzix Pillow Box Bigz Die? Godby With Us Stamper Melissa Welch does. Look at the adorable gift packages she made for her daughters!
Melissa die-cut the gift packaging by running the Sizzix Pillow Box Bigz Die through her Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine. The Big Shot makes paper crafting fun and easy. You can make great die-cut boxes, shapes and emboss with ease.
Didn't Melissa do a great job? Melissa picked up the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper from the Clearance Rack Blitz and made the adorable pillow box gift packages. Not just crafty, but a smart shopper! Have you checked out the Clearance Rack yet? You will find discontinued Stampin' Up! products up to 80% off their original price!
I love how Melissa dressed up the pillowbox with a band of coordinating Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper around the center.
Did you notice she also added a layer to the band? One of the nice added touches I often write about that take your handmade projects up a notch.
I love matchy matchy. Melissa used three different of the patterned papers that still coordinate. You just got to love that about the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers. All different yet coordinating.
One of the different Jolly Holiday background papers Melissa used was on the gift tag. Melissa used the Large Tag and Extra Large Tag Punches for a perfectly layered gift tag.
Take a gander at that beautiful handwriting! I wish I could write like that.
Melissa's finishing touch was the ribbon tied around the length of her pretty pillow boxes. The ribbon also perfectly coordinates because the ribbon is also from Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! products - card stock, background paper, brads, buttons, ribbon and more - all come in their exclusive, coordinating colors. Stampin' Up! makes it easy to have beautiful, color coordinated handmade projects.
It looks to me Melissa tucked the gift tags under the ribbon. It looks like it is tied in without needing to punch a hole, thread the ribbon through the hole and tie a know. That's what this stamper would do.
A big inky hug to Melissa for sharing her handmade gift packaging with us!

The 1/8" Cellophane Bags in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog make an adorable Valentine treat. But, you do not have much time to order them! They are a limited-edition item from the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog and available to purchase only until January 3, 2012.
Need just a little more temptation? You get 50 of the cellophane bags for only $2.50! Again, only available until January 3, 2011.
Every year the teens at church make favors for the Valentine's banquet. The 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags were irresistible not just the low cost of the bags but how little it will cost to fill them and small amount of work to make the toppers. Talk about a winning combination when making 100 favors!
The 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags were filled with heart-shaped Red Hot candies. How cute is that? Affordable and will make for a nice treat after the meal.
The topper is made with a 2" x 4" piece of Real Red Card Stock scored and folded in half. The background paper is Real Red from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack. If you are quick enough, you can pick up six sheets of Real Red and six sheets of Pretty in Pink packaged as Love Patterns Designer Series Paper for only $1.99 in the Clearance Rack! The special packs of red/pink are available only while supplies last. If the Love Patterns packs are sold out, you can purchase the Real Red background paper as part of the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack to make the Valentine treat above.
The size of the Real Red background paper is 1-3/4" x 1-3/4". We will be able to get 36 out of one sheet of 12" x 12" background paper. We will easily be able to make the 100 with three of the 6 Real Red background papers. We will lots of Pretty in Pink leftover for the following year's favors. I'll be thinking pink.
The hearts are from the Stampin' Up! I Heart Hearts stamp set. They were punched out with the Stampin' Up! Heart to Heart Punch. See, I told you these are easy to make! I did put a Stampin' Dimensional behind each of the stamped and punched hearts. The added dimension adds a lot to this sweet and simple project.
The hardest part of this project will be not eating too many of the Red Hots. If you would like to make some Valentine favors, or have thought of another project you'd like to make with the 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags, order them in my online store before they are no longer available!

Sizzix Stocking Accents Originals Die exclusive to Stampin' Up! to etch glass candle holders. How? Have any empty Gold Canyon Heritage candle jars? The glass jars are so pretty with the diamond cuts around the top and bottom of the jars, it would have been a shame to throw them away. The rescued from the trash candle jars had to have their labels removed and cleaned thoroughly of any residual candle wax. A bit of a chore, I must admit. But so worth the effort.
Gold Canyon candles are so fragrant. In our opinion, much more than Yankee Candles. We thought Yankee was quite good until we discovered Gold Canyon. If you would like to purchase Gold Canyon candles, you can place your order with my demonstrator, Pat Pietrzak in her online store www.mygc.com/shopwithpat.
This year I used my Sizzix Big Shot and White Decor Elements Sheets too. This time I die-cut holly leaves and berries, Christmas trees and Christmas ornaments with the Sizzix Stocking Accents Originals Die. But, you won't find the die-cut vinyl pieces decorating the outside. I used the negative (area around the die-cut image) to make a template to chemically etch on the jars. Look at how pretty they turned out!
The bottom of the candle jars is about 1/3 a container of Mica Flakes from the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. They are a limited-edition item. If we will see them again is not likely. I have my copy of the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog. They are not in there. Not surprising. They really are best suited well for Christmas projects.
If you think the jars are pretty just sitting there, you just have to see one with a white Gold Canyon tealight candle burning in one.
Isn't that something? The Gold Canyon white candles not only melt to clear but their holders are also clear. All that clear going on let you focus on the pretty reflection from the glow of the candle dancing off the diamond cuts and etched glass.
Would you like to etch some glass too? If you like the jars I used, you know where to order them (above).

Learn how to quickly make this gift box with the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool to hold three Gold Canyon Scent It Tree Ornaments AND a bottle of Fragrance Oil! The Scent It Tree Ornaments ad Fragrance Oil were both ordered at www.mygc.com/shopwithpat
I recorded a video demonstration to show you just how easy it can be to make your own gift boxes with the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Watch and see for yourself!
Want a full view of the Scoring Tool? It is large enough to easily score a 12" x 12" sheet of paper or card stock. I can almost get the full board into the screen shot, but not quite.
To make my trees stand out even more, I first sponged the edges with Garden Green Classic Ink. Looked good, but wanting something more, I spied the Dazzling Details on my shelf. The tip makes it easy to add a line thin around just about anything. I did just that with this Christmas card. The Dazzling Details gave my box the little something extra I was searching for. It was easy to outline the die-cut trees. But, it did require some drying time. So, don't be in a hurry.
After my gift box was scored, and adhered together with Sticky Strip for a strong hold, I punched two holes with my Crop-A-Dile. I fed an one inch strip of the Candy Cane Designer Fabric through the holes to make my pretty one-of-a-kind bow. Don't you like the soft, kind of country look?
Want to be able to easily score card stock to make your own gift boxes too? Don't wait a moment longer! Order the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool in my online store now!

Have you tried making gift boxes with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool? A friend of mine sells Premier Designs jewelry. I thought how fun it would be to make a gift box as pretty as the Ice Crystal bracelet I am stamping with here.
The Simply Scored Scoring Tool made making this gift box a breeze. Watch my video demonstration to see just how easy it was to make.
Would you like to see a close-up picture of the Premier Designs Bracelet?
Very pretty and elegant. If you would like to order the Ice Crystal bracelet call my Premier Designs friend Theresa Reed at 231-832-4923. Be sure to tell Theresa you saw the bracelet on my blog.
Let's talk more about the pretty gift box made to hold the bracelet. The box bottom is 5" x 5" with Wild Wasabi card stock. The box top is also Wild Wasabi card stock is 5-1/8" x 5-1/8". The extra 1/8" is so the top will fit over top of the box bottom.
The Designer Series Paper used to decorate the top of the box is the Holly Berry Bouquet paper. It is a limited-edition item from the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. The chances of this paper being available for purchase after the end of the Holiday Mini Catalog period is extremely small. From my experience, I do not expect that we will see it again.
The beautifully elegant ribbon is the Real Red 5/8" Satin Ribbon. What women would be able to resist untying the bow to see what is inside? Of course, you just have to pull on one of the ends of the ribbon and untie it with an exaggerated flourish. Starting to think I've watched too many movies.
The finishing touch is the pretty stamped and cut out rose in the center of the pretty bow. The rose is from the Pines & Poinsettias stamp set that coordinates with the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper. Like the Designer Paper, it is available to order from the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog for a limited time. The chances are low that the Pines & Poinsettias will show up in the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.
The beauty of using Stampin' Up! card stock, ink, background paper and ribbon is the colors in each coordinate. No worries of your colors clashing when you use Stampin' Up! products for your handmade cards, scrapbook pages, handmade gifts and gift boxes.
Would you like to make gift boxes with the ease I demonstrated in the video? If so, order the Simply Scored Scoring Tool in my online store now!

Take my Country Club Calendar Class to learn how to make an 8-1/2" x 11" wall calendar quickly and easily!
Quite simple but cute. After sliding in three Pixie Sticks I closed the self-adhesive end and tied some 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon around each end. No fancy bows, just a knot.
In the center I add a 1-1/4" x 3" piece of Basic Black card stock. With the Pixie Sticks in the Cellophane Bag, I laid the Basic Black card stock band on my Simply Scored Scoring Tool and made my score lines. Score lines have never been so easy! Before I would score it, get it wrong and have to do it over and over until I got it right. This time I got it right the first time! Love anything that makes a task easier and saves time! The Simply Scored Scoring Tool is just that.
My cute little pumpkin is from the Stampin' Up! Got Treats stamp set. I inked the stamp with Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and without removing any of the ink, I used the Old Olive Classic Write Marker to color the stem and vine. The stamped image looks great and my marker seems no worse for the wear.
Starting to get some ideas for the 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags? You get 50 of them for only $2.50! One nice benefit of them not being very big is that it won't cost you a fortune to fill them if you wanted to make a lot for favors or a large scale give-away.
If you would like to try the Stampin' Up! 1" x 8" Cellophane Bags, order them in my online store now! Hurry, the are available in the Holiday Mini Catalog for a limited-time!

A Godby (God-be) with Us Stamper, Bonnie Purcey, has successfully and beautifully die-cut through knits with the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die. Don't the flowers look like an expensive embellishment you would purchase at a craft store?
Bonnie sews on the beautiful die-cut flowers to mittens she makes from knit sweaters. She said the mittens looked quite plain until she added the Fun Flower die-cuts. After looking at the picture of the full mitten with the die-cut flowers, can you imagine it without them?
Even if you do not have Bonnie's sewing talent, you just might be thinking how pretty the die-cut flowers would be on your handmade cards. You're right! Wish you had the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die? Well, then head over to my online store now and order it!
