LAST Stamparatus Reservation Window Opens 12-5!

Introducing the Stamparatus!Tomorrow, Tuesday, December 5 is the LAST reservation window for the new Stamparatus.

The good news is the reservation window will stay open through December 30, regardless of how many are reserved. EVERYONE will be able to reserve one, even if you reserved one last month.

Because everyone will be able to reserve a Stamparatus during the December reservation, there will not be a third window. Be sure to reserve your Stamparatus by December 30. Shipping begins for the December reservation window March 19, 2018.

Do reserve your Stamparatus as quickly as you can because “we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19.”

To sum it up, the sooner you reserve your Stamparatus (December 5 – December 30), the sooner you will receive it!

Log into my online store today, Tuesday, December 5, at 2 PM MT (4PM ET, 3PM CT, 1PM PT), then look for the Stamparatus page. You will click the RESERVE link on the Stamparatus page which will take you to the reservation page.

Click HERE at 2 PM MT, 4PM ET, 3PM CT, 1PM PT to reserve your Stamparatus. There is a limit of one.

Here’s how to reserve your Stamparatus:

You need to have your online ordering account set up BEFORE reserving your Stamparatus. If you don’t have one, it’s easy to do. Click HERE to do that now. Please call me at 702-513-9997 if you’d like me to help you set up your online account.

At 2 PM MT, log into my online store. Then look for the link to the Stamparatus reservation page. Last time it was large and impossible to miss.

You will need to provide a credit card number during the reservation period. Your credit card will not be billed until it ships.

When your Stamparatus becomes available, it will be automatically added to your online shopping cart. It will not automatically ship. You are in control of when your credit card will be billed.

You can order it by itself or add other products to your order.
Please note: Do not remove it from your online shopping cart because it cannot be put back in. Also, it will be in your shopping cart for 30 days from when it was added. If you wait more than 30 days to order it, you risk it from being removed from your cart during a regularly scheduled cleaning of shopping carts.
Here’s what the reservation page should look like.

One of my sweet stampers asked how large the Stamparatus is. The measurements were not made available in the description. A Stampin’ Up! representative told me it is 8″ x 8″ x 7/8″.

Please get in touch with me if you have any questions or if I can be of assistance to you.

Ombre Technique: Mat vs. Glossy Cardstock Tutorial

Have you ever created an ombre background for your hand stamped cards? Ombre is when colors shade into each other, usually from light to dark. It’s an eye-catching look. Today we’re going to compare the ombre background technique on mat white cardstock versus Glossy White Cardstock.

Click to watch my ombre technique mat vs. glossy cardstock tutorial here if the video is not displaying properly on your device.

Ombre technique card idea made with Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Stamp Set. Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons card designed by Shelly Godby of www.stampingsmiles.comIsn’t it remarkable how easy it is to add multiple colors to cardstock that blend into each other?! You can do the ombre technique in shades of any color you like. You can either use shades of colors that are much more similar or a larger range, as I did in the video for my Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons card.

Here’s a hint when using Glossy White Cardstock for your hand stamped cards: If  I hadn’t stamped my greeting right onto the ombre background, I would have stamped it on Glossy White Cardstock and not Whisper White Cardstock. It looks a bit off to have both white gloss and mat finish. Try it and see if you agree.

“What adhesive did you use on your handstamped card?”

Fast Fuse Adhesive - great for making cards! One of my sweet stampers recently asked me “What adhesive did you use on the hand stamped card you sent me? The edges don’t lift, it’s stuck very well.”

My answer was and is Fast Fuse Adhesive. I’ve been using it now for three years and am continue to be impressed with the hold.

There is just one little thing you have to remember to do, and you will be as impressed as I am. After you apply a line of adhesive, you need to do something to break it. If you don’t, you’ll have what I say looks like hot, stringy cheese. Stampin’ Up! recommends sliding it to the left or right. The only thing with that method, you need to alternate to keep the roll in the center of the roller.

I decided to try an experiement that my Playground Friends watched for the past few months. Instead of the slide (because I’d forget which direction it had been slid last), I tried to gently press down to stop the line. That has worked very well. If you forget, you’ll remember immediately when you get some hot stringy cheese. 🙂 The good news is, your project isn’t ruined, just break it with your finger.

You will find this interesting. A Fast Fuse Adhesive Refill is $3 more than a SNAIL Adhesive Refill. Yet, the price per yard is slightly less for the Fast Fuse Refill. Less per yard for a better hold. You just have to love that. I know I do!

I love and highly recommend Fast Fuse Adhesive. Order this excellent for cardmaking adhesive now in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.
