Merry wishes you a Stampin’ Up! White Christmas!

Stampin' Up! White Christmas cardBing Crosby dreamed of a white Christmas; Merry is wishing us all a Stampin’ Up! White Christmas.  Godby (God-be) With Us Stamper Merry Clough made this adorable White Christmas card.  Before going on, don’t you love the spelling of her name?  It suits her well with the sweet disposition she has.

Merry embossed the trees and hill with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. She then dotted snowflakes with her 2-Way Glue Pen and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  The glitter is just what it looks like when the sun shines on snow.  Beautiful.  (A little trivia:  Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and the 2-Way Glue Pen were on my very first Stampin’ Up! order.)

My favorite part of Merry’s card are the birds in the trees.  They are the perfect touch.  It’s as if they are wishing the family driving off with their Christmas tree on top of the car a Merry Christmas.  So sweet.

Have you ordered the White Christmas Stamp Set yet?  If not, I hope you do.  It’s fascinating at how many different cards you make with this set.  And how well it will pair up with other sets.  It’s an inexpensive stamp set.  There are 13 stamps for only $15.95!  Order White Christmas in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.

The rest of the stamping supplies for Merry’s card are pictured below.  Click on the products you’d like to order and be taken directly into my online store to place your order.

Love the snowflakes in the Stampin’ Up! Endless Wishes Set!

Stampin' Up! Endless Wishes CardLast year I wasn’t the only one to fall in love the with cute snowflakes from the Stampin’ Up! Endless Wishes Stamp Set.  To be more precise, I was gaga over the clean and simple card made by the Stampin’ Up! artist that designed the stamp set.  So simple and so stinkin’ cute.

At that time, photopolymer stamp sets were only while supplies last because they were made by a vendor.  And the supplies of Endless Wishes sold out in merely days.  Many a stamper was disappointed.  I can’t imagine how many stampers were thrilled to see Endless Wishes in the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog now that Stampin’ Up! is manufacturing their own photopolymer sets now.

How do you like the green mixed in with the blues?  A little unexpected, a lot pretty.  All the colors are from the All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The green is my favorite green, Pear Pizzazz.  The blues are Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon.  There’s even a little Smoky Slate added in.   All the ink pad colors will be pictured lower in the post along with all the other stamping supplies used to make my Endless Wishes card.

A note about the White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  If you purchased any after August 28 – September 25, 2014, please check your embossing powder by embossing a stamped image.  Apparently some Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powders were mistakenly labeled White because they look very much alike.  If you ordered white from me and have clear embossing powder instead, let me know right away so I can get it replaced.

You no longer have to worry that Endless Wishes will sell out in days, but it is a limited-edition stamp set and available only through January 5, 2015.  That sounds like a long time off, but as a friend says once Labor Day comes it’s a slippery slope to Christmas.  She’s right.  It’ll seem like before we blink it will be Christmas.  I recommend you order Endless Wishes now in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com!

Stampin’ Up! 2014 Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

Stampin' Up! right & Beautiful Card IdeaWanting to get a sneak peak at the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog?  It is a real winner.  It’s the by far the best Holiday Catalog by Stampin’ Up! in a long time, possibly ever!  Today I have a sneak peek with a handmade Christmas card using the new Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set.  My clean and simple Christmas card in silver and white certainly qualifies for a quick, clean and classy card.

The silver stars, they aren’t at all silver.  They were embossed with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Smoky Slate is soft yet still stands out well against the Whisper White.  Works very well when you want the look of a matte silver.

Didn’t I do a great job cutting out the stars?  A perfect border all around.  Okay, I fess up.  I didn’t cut them by hand.  The Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set coordinates with the Stars Framelits Dies.   With a little help from my Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine applying 3000 pounds of pressure, the stars were cut out perfectly in a matter of seconds.

Do you have a Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine?  Did you know you can get both the new Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set AND Star Framelits Dies for FREE when you purchase a Big Shot in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com, but in August 2014 only!

Already have a Big Shot?  After I tell you a bit more about my handmade Christmas card, I’ll tell you how to save on the sneak peek Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set.

Stampin' Up! Bright & Beautiful Card

All three stars in the Bright & Beautiful Stars Stamp Set have the same pretty pattern that grows as the stars get larger.  Isn’t that a great look?  Separating and giving definition to the three layers of stars are Stampin’ Dimensionals.  It never ceases to amaze me how those little foam self-adhesive dots enhance a handmade card.

Stampin' Up! Bright & Beautiful Christmas Card

The coordination continuity provided by the pattern of the stars continued with the “Wishing you a Bright & Beautiful . . .” greeting included in the stars stamp set.  To keep the look of the card seamless, the Christmas greeting was also embossed with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Promised to let you know how you can get in on the Bright & Beautiful sneak peek if you already own a Big Shot.  During August only, you can purchase the exclusive Bright & Beautiful Stars Bundle at 15% off!  The bundle includes both the stamp set and coordinating Stars Framelits Dies.  You can wait until September to order the Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set and the Stars Framelits, but the bundle savings will be gone.

Can you see the snowflakes from the Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set?  They are behind the die-cut letters to spell out NOEL.

Now do you see them?  Pretty.

Wish the camera was able to capture the beautiful shine and glimmer of the Champagne Glimmer Paper.  Like that large scallop edge in the glimmer paper?  It was made with the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die.

At the beginning of the post, die-cut letters were mentioned.  The letters were die-cut with the Stampin’ Up! Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die.  This stamp set is all upper case and includes the numbers.  What I like about this die set is that the lines are clean.  It is not either cutesy or elegant.  That means it will work well with either.  Flexibility is a beautiful thing.

What all did the artist use to make her handmade Christmas card?  They are all listed below and if you want to purchase any, they are available in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.

Wishing You a merry Stampin’ Up! Christmas!

Isn’t this a fun handmade Christmas card?  The stamp set is the Stampin’ Up! Wishing You Stamp Set from the 2013 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog

Wishing You flip card idea

The artist stamped the stacked gifts with Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Pad ink.  Stamped again on Whisper White Card Stock with Old Olive Classic Stamping Pad ink and cut out the middle gift.  The straight lines of the middle gift made this an easy task that stepped up the Christmas card.

While the presents from the Stampin’ Up! Wishing You Stamp Set could be used for other occasions, the sentiment and greeting stamps included in the set are all Christmas.  You can see them on the inside of the circle flip card.

Wishing You flip card flip side

Flip cards are fun to make and even more fun to receive.  With the new Circle Card Thinlits Die, they are fun AND easy to make.

The Stampin’ Up! Wishing You Stamp Set,Season of Style Designer Series Paper, and Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder used to make this handmade Christmas card are all from the 2013 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog and soon to retire with the end of the catalog on January 2, 2014.  Order any or all three in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com through January 2.

Not one, but two Stampin’ Up! Festive Flurry Flip Cards

Making flip cards with the Stampin’ Up! Label and Circle Card Thinlits Dies is addictive and fun!  Today I have two Christmas flip card ideas both using the Stampin’ Up! Festive Flurry Stamp Set and Circle Card Thinlits Die.

Stampin' Up! Snow Flurry Sparkle Flip Card

The stamp set and flip card die are not the only two things these handmade Christmas cards have in common.  Both artists used the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder and Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Festive Flurry Silver Foil Sheets Circle Flip Card

The difference came only in embellishments.  The first used Silver Glimmer Paper behind the die-cut snowflake and the second used Silver Foil Sheets.   The other difference is on the first card, the artist chose Basic Rhinestone Jewels for added glitz; while the second chose a Frosted Finishes Embellishment

The same products with a couple of minor changes, yet two different cards.  Makes you wonder what you would have created if you had been handed the same stamping supplies.

Will the Festive Flurry Stamp Set and Framelits be available to order after January 2, 2014?  Announced this morning, we will have that answer the tomorrow evening, Wednesday, December 18.  Based on history, there are two things we can pretty well bank on are that the Festive Flurry Bundle savings will go away and the Winter Frost Designer Paper.  Both are available to order now in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com.
