Do you like to sew? If not, you may have thought the Stampin' Up! Designer Fabric held no interest for you. Watch my video tutorial on how to easily make a no-sew fabric flower with a strip of the Spice Cake Designer Fabric.
The Stampin' Up! Spice Cake Designer Fabric was first introduced in the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. Although the Holiday Mini Catalog has retired, the Spice Cake Designer Fabric has been added to the Carryover List making it still available to order in my online store.
My Spice Cake fabric flower is layered onto a 2-3/8" punched Soft Suede Card Stock scallop circle. The scallop circle is layered onto a 3" die-cut Pool Party Card Stock circle. And, all that is layered onto the large Soft Suede Card Stock circle from the Sizzix Bigz Scallop Circle #2 Die. That is one big flower!
Take a gander at the beautiful, sheer ribbon. It is the 1/2" Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon now available in the 2012 Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. It is so soft, ties easily and drapes beautifully.
My "I'm praying for you" greeting is from the Stampin' Up! Blessings from Heaven stamp set. The set of greetings includes a sympathy, encouragement, friend and more sayings. Very nice.
Ready to try making a no-sew fabric flower too? Order the Spice Cake Designer Fabric in my online store!

Do you like to be appreciated? One way I show my customers how much I appreciate them is with a hand-stamped thank you card when they place their Stampin' Up! orders with me. The order can be in online, over the phone or in person.
Using the Stampin' Pastels to color in the flowers was pleasantly quick as I made a lot of these cards. The Stampin' Pastels apply so smoothly and blend easily. And, if you go outside the line without meaning to, you can use the included eraser! We all know you can not do that with ink.
My card base is Pink Pirouette card stock. I thought I would use Pretty in Pink card stock, but the flowers just popped out when layered onto the Pink Pirouette.
The largest die-cut label is Early Espresso Card Stock. Followed by a layer of Pretty in Pink die-cut. Pink and brown is such a pretty combination.
Keeping with the pink and brown combination, my flowers from the Bordering on Romance stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso Classic Ink. Because the Stampin' Pastels were used to color my flowers, I did not need to be concerned about the non-permanent Early Espresso Classic Ink bleeding.
Want to play with the new Labels Collection Framelits too? Then order them in my online store now!

Place your January Stampin' Up! order with me and receive my January thank you card!
My December Customer Thank You Card is a Christmas card made with The Sounding Joy stamp set. I'm also excited to show you how I did the double-embossing with the Snow Burst Sizzix Embossing Folder and the new Simply Scored Scoring Tool from Stampin' Up!
The Sizzix Embossing Folders are one of my absolute favorite products. The added texture adds so much interest to our paper crafting projects. Not only is it visually stunning, you also can't help but to touch it. Now if we added a fragrance, we'd be using all our senses.
When I purchased my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I had this idea in my mind to use the Scoring Tool with my Embossing Folders along with my Sizzix Embossing Folder Chipboard Templates. The idea was to add an embossed border around the un-embossed area left by using one of my embossing folder chipboard templates. You know, it is so much easier to show you than explain. Watch my video demonstration of how to do using my Embossing Folder Chipboard Templates with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
How cool was that? Don't you just love it when an idea in your head translates onto card stock? I must say, it does not always work that way for me. Quite happily, this time it did.
So much to say about this card:
It is my December Customer Thank You Card. Place your Stampin' Up! order with me and receive this hand-stamped and embossed Christmas card from me. The Simply Scored Scoring Tool is so cool. You can order it in my online store and receive my December Customer Thank You Card.
The Sounding Joy stamp set is a limited-edition stamp set from the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. No way to know for sure, but I don't expect this stamp set to be offered again. If you would like to order The Sounding Joy stamp set before it disappears, order it in my online store.
And, of course, you may purchase my Sizzix Embossing Folder Chipboard Templates. They are available on this page.

Learn how to quickly make this gift box with the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool to hold three Gold Canyon Scent It Tree Ornaments AND a bottle of Fragrance Oil! The Scent It Tree Ornaments ad Fragrance Oil were both ordered at www.mygc.com/shopwithpat
I recorded a video demonstration to show you just how easy it can be to make your own gift boxes with the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Watch and see for yourself!
Want a full view of the Scoring Tool? It is large enough to easily score a 12" x 12" sheet of paper or card stock. I can almost get the full board into the screen shot, but not quite.
To make my trees stand out even more, I first sponged the edges with Garden Green Classic Ink. Looked good, but wanting something more, I spied the Dazzling Details on my shelf. The tip makes it easy to add a line thin around just about anything. I did just that with this Christmas card. The Dazzling Details gave my box the little something extra I was searching for. It was easy to outline the die-cut trees. But, it did require some drying time. So, don't be in a hurry.
After my gift box was scored, and adhered together with Sticky Strip for a strong hold, I punched two holes with my Crop-A-Dile. I fed an one inch strip of the Candy Cane Designer Fabric through the holes to make my pretty one-of-a-kind bow. Don't you like the soft, kind of country look?
Want to be able to easily score card stock to make your own gift boxes too? Don't wait a moment longer! Order the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool in my online store now!

It's Thanksgiving and my Gently Falling handmade card expresses one of the things I am grateful for - you! I appreciate all the sweet comments from my readers about my handmade projects and on my blog overall. In case you are wondering, I never tire of compliments. :)
Want to see how I made this handmade greeting card? Watch my video demonstration to see the Sizzix Big Shot in action and my head accidentally getting into the shot. See if you can tell if I was having a good or bad hair day.
What do you think of the color combination from the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper: Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, More Mustard, River Rock and Very Vanilla?
At first I didn't think Pool Party felt much like Autumn. After all, the name screams summer. But, once I started playing with it, the color combination was flattering. It was also fun to throw in a color or two you don't associate with a season. Pool Party would have never occurred to me for an Autumn card. Sure glad Stampin' Up! expanded my own self-imposed color limitations by using Pool Party for the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper! Maybe I'll get more adventuresome in my color combinations . . .
Have you ever stamped on background paper? I've done so using it a couple of different ways. You just say one way on my card and in the video demonstration - stamped and then cut out.
I have stamped on background paper, added a layer and used it as is. It was a cute card.
Also, I have added a few stamped images and used the background paper as, well, background paper. I guess I made my own customized background paper.
The Spice Cake Designer Series Paper and Gently Falling stamp set are both from the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog and available to order for a limited time. Will we see the Gently Falling stamp set in the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. Possibly. We never know. So, if you like the stamp set, don't take a chance. Be sure to order it before January.
But, without a doubt, the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper will not be seen in any future catalogs. How can I make such a bold prediction? The pretty background paper has Pear Pizzazz as on of the colors. Pear Pizzazz is a 2010-2012 In Color. It will be retiring on June 30, 2012. If I'm wrong about it not being in the next Idea Book I will eat of a sheet of it. Not really.

Are you sending handmade Christmas greeting cards this year? If so, will your Christmas cards be fairly simple because you are making quite a few? Do you make a couple of extra special cards for certain people? My Pines & Poinsettias card was easy to make, but because it would be best mailed in a padded envelope, it certainly would not be a card for the masses.
Not wishing to sound immodest, but isn't that a pretty card? The Pines & Poinsettias stamp set has some gorgeous stamps. That is probably the prettiest pine cone stamp I have ever seen.
And, look at the fancy dancy circle in the center showcasing the pine cone. The fancy dancy circle is called a paper lolly or paper rosette. It was made using the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool and Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper. It was a lot of fun to make!
Want to learn how to easily make paper lollies? Watch my video demonstration of making paper lollies using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
You thought it was going to be a lot more difficult, didn't you? Warning: they are addictive. It is hard to stop once you start making them.
My Real Red card stock card front was embossed with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder run through the Sizzix Big Shot. The embossing took the card up a notch. Often a step-up is easy to do and makes a big difference.
My card front was embossed and I had a pretty paper lolly with a pretty stamp center. Once again, I found myself needing some balance for my greeting card. And, whatever it was, it had to be elegant. The Chantilly 1/2" Crochet Trim is as elegant as the rest of the card. Also, it may not be easy to tell, but the neutral color in the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper is Very Vanilla. The Crochet Trim coordinates beautifully.
Because writing on Real Red card stock could be hard for some to read, I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock to the inside. It is also a nice finishing touch.
Would you like to be able to easily make paper lollies too? If yes, order the Simply Scored Scoring Tool in my online store now!
