No Time To Stamp Note Cards Made by Stampin’ Smiles

Today I feel like the hairdresser who pulled her hair into a ponytail because she didn't have time to do her own hair.  I need a couple quick note cards before making a mad dash to the post.

What do when you have no time to stamp?  You pull out your Stampin' Up! Note Cards (3-1/2" x 5" Whisper White note cards already cut and scored for you with coordinating envelopes.  Twenty for only $5.95) and grab some Designer Series Paper.

No_Time_to_Stamp

My designer paper is part of the FREE Sale-a-bration Ice Cream Parlor & Quick Accents Pack.  I cut the striped designer paper to 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" and used my SNAIL Adhesive.  It looks nice on the Whisper White card base.

Do you need to also have some of the 3-1/2" x 5" Note Cards on hand to make quick cards in a pinch?  Order the Note Cards with coordinating envelopes now!

Order $50 in products (before shipping and sales tax) and receive your choice of over 50 FREE Sale-a-bration products!  But, don't delay, Sale-a-bration is over March 31!

Stampin’ Up! Bday Party Rub-Ons Card Idea

Yesterday I wrote about how no-stamping cards are becoming a natural part of my card making.   My card using the Stampin' Up! Bday Party Rub-Ons is another example of a no-stamping card.

Big_Birthday_Cake_Card

I was able to make eight great looking cards in a short amount of time with the coordinating Stampin' Up! Bday Party Rub-Ons and Celebrations Designer Series Paper.

The big birthday cake card, pictured above, was the first card.  I just couldn't wait to get my hands on that cake!  If you haven't used rub-ons before, the name is precisely accurate, you rub on the images.

To cover my naked edge of the Celebrations Designer Series Paper strip, I punched a narrow strip of Real Red card stock with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  Don't you just love how it coordinates with the frosting on the big birthday cake?  Coordination makes me so happy.

Did you know in January I introduced a new style of classes?    With the Stampin' Smiles VIDEO (View Instructions Demonstrated Exclusively Online) Classes it is like having me in your home showing you to make the projects, but better!

With my VIDEO classes, I demonstrate every step of the project so you can work right along with me.  You can stop me, rewind me, pause me or have me show now and again later.

Just as with my Classes in Your Mailbox, you will still receive the project materials prepared and mailed to you.  But, instead of reading directions, you watch the videos and do the projects right along with me!

So far I have two classes, the Stampin' Smiles Fancy Folds VIDEO Class and the Stampin' Smiles Birthday Bash VIDEO Class.  There is also an option to order the VIDEO Only classes without the class materials included.

Sue in Alabama said,

"It means so much to me to have you in my home showing me how to do it."

Would you like to make the card above and seven more with the Bday Party Rub-Ons right along with me?  Order the Stampin' Smiles Birthday Bash VIDEO Class now!  When you click on the name of class, you will be taken to a new page with all the details and ordering link.

The pretty stamp used to stamp my card is from the Stampin' Up! Pocket Silhouettes stamp set.  It is stamped on a Very Vanilla die-cut card stock oval made from the Sizzix Ovals Originals Die and the Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.

The stamped Very Vanilla oval is layered on a Always Artichoke die-cut card stock oval also made from the Sizzix Ovals Originals Die.

The Elegant Eggplant card stock was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Sizzix Embossing Folder in the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.  I also used my Oval Sizzix Embossing Folder Chipboard Template to emboss everywhere on the card stock except in the center.  Leaving the center are un-embossed allows me to add layers quickly.

My Oval Sizzix Embossing Folder Chipboard Template was designed by me to coordinate beautifully with the Sizzix Ovals Originals Die.   As of now, I have seven different Embossing Folder Chipboard Templates and have made them available for purchase here.

Customer Christmas Creation! Stampin’ Up! Christmas Classics by Wendy Hartman

Don't you just love receiving Christmas cards?  I so look forward to it every year.  The first Christmas card we always receive right after Thanksgiving is from my cousin Billy.  He prefers Bill now that he is all grown up.  Hard as I try to call him Bill, Billy is always what comes out.  Doesn't every family have a similar story?

As Christmas gets closer, the more Christmas cards that get delivered to our mailbox.  Love it!  I received this hand-stamped Christmas card today.  Wendy Hartman made this pretty card using the Stampin' Up! Candy Cane Christmas Designer Series Paper and Christmas Classics stamp set.

I like how Wendy covered the complete front of her card with the designer paper.  I always layer it with a border showing.  It is so easy to get stuck in a rut.

Speaking of getting stuck in a rut, we will be emerging from the rut of folding all of our cards in half with my Fancy Folds class January 4 or 5.  You can either attend the class or order the fancy folds cards or order the cards completed for you.  Click here for all the details.

Cardinal Punch Art Christmas Card Project with Stampin’ Up! Punches

Are you crazy about punch art too?  There is just something about taking punch shapes, putting them together and turning them into something unexpected.  Even those not into paper crafting get a kick out of punch art.

This fat punch art cardinal tickles my funny bone.  He is so doggone cute.  Even better, he is easy to make.  Scroll below the picture for the list of Stampin' Up! punches used to make this little guy.

Cardinal_Card

His round body is made from the 1-3/4" Circle Punch.  The black face is one of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms Punch.  His tail are two of the three hearts from the Heart to Heart Punch.  Lastly, his wing is made using the 1" Circle Punch, folded in half.

The limbs he is resting upon were made with the exclusive Stampin' Up! Sizzix Little Leaves Sizzlits Die.  The berries are from an ordinary office supply 1/4" circle punch.

All the punch elements go together pretty quickly.  His beak is simply a 1/2" square piece of card stock with a corner peeking out.  And, don't forget his eye.  Just a a dot with the White Gel Pen.

My punch art fat cardinal needed a place to call home.  I made this card especially for my Cards of the Month subscribers.  The beautiful Merry Christmas and Happy New Year greeting is a limited edition stamp set from the 2010 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog – Seasoanl Sentiments.

Do you love punch art too?   My punch art classes in the mail are my most popular classes.  There are five classes to-date available.   Here is a link to my Made with Punches!  Punch Art Book Classes in Your Mailbox

Stampin’ Up! Come to Bethlehem Christmas in July Card Idea by Stampin’ Smiles

Have you picked out the stamp set you want to use for your Christmas cards this year?

At first sight, I knew I would be using the new Stampin' Up! Come to Bethlehem (pictured below).

Come_to_Bethlehem

The sample in the 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog is pretty.  But, it was not at all a quick card to duplicate for my Christmas in July Fast & Fabulous cards class.

I used the new Marina Mist card stock and ink.  My color combination is Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Crumb Cake.

Stampin’ Up! Word Play Christmas Card Idea in July by Stampin’ Smiles

Is it hot outside?  I wouldn't know.  it is all cool thoughts for me as I have been happily designing and stamping Christmas cards for the Stampin' Smiles Christmas in July Fast & Fabulous cards class.

Word_Play

My fast and simple Christmas card uses the new Word Play stamp set (pictured below) and Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper (also pictured below).

What a versatile stamp set Word Play is!  To also have a Christmas stamp is just wonderful.  The Word Play stamp set is so much more than words.  Each have the artwork to be a stand alone image or used in conjunction with other images.  As you can see, I chose to use just the Christmas stamp as a stand alone.

Word_Play

Jolly_Holiday_DSP

My Christmas card also uses the new core color Cherry Cobbler ink and card stock.  It is a beautiful, deep red.  Paired with Old Olive, it adds elegance to even a cutesy stamp.
