2011 Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch Card Idea: For You

Are you feeling punchy?  If you are not in the mood yet, you will be with the FREE 2011 Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch stamp set!

In my card pictured below, I stamped and punched the scallop circle image twice.  But, that wasn't the end of the punching.  I punched an additional Old Olive circle for layering and added a scallop edge Daffodil Delight border with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  Don't you like how it coordinates with the stamped and punched image?

Stampin’ Up! Bday Party Rub-Ons Card Idea

Yesterday I wrote about how no-stamping cards are becoming a natural part of my card making.   My card using the Stampin' Up! Bday Party Rub-Ons is another example of a no-stamping card.

Big_Birthday_Cake_Card

I was able to make eight great looking cards in a short amount of time with the coordinating Stampin' Up! Bday Party Rub-Ons and Celebrations Designer Series Paper.

The big birthday cake card, pictured above, was the first card.  I just couldn't wait to get my hands on that cake!  If you haven't used rub-ons before, the name is precisely accurate, you rub on the images.

To cover my naked edge of the Celebrations Designer Series Paper strip, I punched a narrow strip of Real Red card stock with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  Don't you just love how it coordinates with the frosting on the big birthday cake?  Coordination makes me so happy.

Did you know in January I introduced a new style of classes?    With the Stampin' Smiles VIDEO (View Instructions Demonstrated Exclusively Online) Classes it is like having me in your home showing you to make the projects, but better!

With my VIDEO classes, I demonstrate every step of the project so you can work right along with me.  You can stop me, rewind me, pause me or have me show now and again later.

Just as with my Classes in Your Mailbox, you will still receive the project materials prepared and mailed to you.  But, instead of reading directions, you watch the videos and do the projects right along with me!

So far I have two classes, the Stampin' Smiles Fancy Folds VIDEO Class and the Stampin' Smiles Birthday Bash VIDEO Class.  There is also an option to order the VIDEO Only classes without the class materials included.

Sue in Alabama said,

"It means so much to me to have you in my home showing me how to do it."

Would you like to make the card above and seven more with the Bday Party Rub-Ons right along with me?  Order the Stampin' Smiles Birthday Bash VIDEO Class now!  When you click on the name of class, you will be taken to a new page with all the details and ordering link.

2011 Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch Card Idea: True Friend

Polka dot fever hit when making this card!  I started with stamping and punching the true friend stamp from the FREE Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch stamp set.

True_Friend_Punch_Bunch

My colors, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight, are all colors in the FREE Sale-a-bration Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper.  So bright and cheery.

First I stamped the true friend stamp from the Punch Bunch set with Melon Mambo Classic Ink and punched it out with 1" Circle Punch.  I then cleaned the stamp and stamped it again with Pacific Point Classic Ink on Whisper White card stock.  I then punched out just the center of the stamped image with the 1/2" Circle Punch.  I layered it onto the Melon Mambo stamped and punched image with a Stampin' Dimensional.  In a picture is hard to tell it makes a difference, but the extra little lift sure does in person.

How do you layer a circle, with more circles, of course.  Once I got started, I just couldn't stop myself.  We have so many circle punches, it was quick and easy.  Here are my additional layers of circles:

1-1/4" Circle Punch in Old Olive card stock

1-3/8" Circle Punch in Daffodil Delight card stock

1-3/4" Circle Punch in striped Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper

2-1/2" Circle Punch in Pacific Point card stock

Not knowing where to go from there, I only knew for some reason I wanted my Pacific Point 2-1/2" circle on a Pacific Point card stock base.  What is a girl to do?  Apparently, add more circles.   My 1" circles consist of the four colors:  Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point.  Once again, in the picture is hard to see, if not impossible, to see the 1" Pacific Point circles.  It truly looks so cool in person.

2011 Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration So Happy for You Card Idea: Shamrock

Want to share a little luck of the Irish?  This sweet card was made using the FREE with $50 purchase 2011 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration So Happy for You stamp set.  The shamrock and "good luck" greeting are just a couple of the stamps in the set.  View another card I made with the So Happy for You stamp set.

Shamrock_So_Happy_for_You

The "good luck" greeting was stamped with Wild Wasabi Classic Ink on Whisper White card stock and punched out with the Modern Label Punch.  It fit so nicely on the punched pieced of card stock.

The cute little buttons on each side of the "good luck"  are from the Bitty Buttons.  The buttons are clear.  The green you see is Wild Wasabi card stock punched with the Punch Pack punches designed for a perfect fit.  How cool is that?   I used the Anywhere Glue Stick to attach the Wild Wasabi punched pieces, poked holes through the card stock with my Paper Piercing Tool and tied a piece of crochet thread through the button holes.

The designer paper is the white from the Neutrals Pattern Stack Designer Series Paper.  I love the new Pattern Packs.  You get sheets of every color in a collection instead of whole lot of one color like before.

2011 Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration Punch Bunch Card Idea: Happy Birthday

Do you ever find yourself adding layer after layer?  It is  trick or technique I often use when I want to use a small stamp as the focal point on the card.    In this case, it was the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" stamp from the FREE 2011 Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration limited-edition Punch Bunch stamp set.

HB_Punch_Bunch

The "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" stamp was stamped with Pacific Point Classic Ink on Whisper White card stock.  I cut it out by hand and layered it onto a Scallop Square piece of Daffodil Delight card stock punched out with the Scallop Square Punch.

From there I just kept adding layers, alternating between Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight card stock, up to the final piece of the scallop edged piece of Daffodil Delight card stock.  The large scallop square of Daffodil Delight card stock was die-cut with the Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and exclusive Stampin' Up! Scallop Square Duo Sizzix Bigz Die.

2011 Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration So Happy for You Card Idea: Butterflies

How sweet is this card?   I started off knowing I wanted to use the In Color Concord Crush.  The next thought was how pretty a purple/pink combination would be.  Pretty in Pink stood out as a great pairing with Concord Crush.

Butterflies_So_Happy_for_You

First I stamped the butterfly with the vapor trail (my description but may well not be accurate) with Concord Crush Classic Ink.  I liked it.  But, when I added the Pretty in Pink butterflies with the vapor trail, I love it!

Of course, I had to use one of the great greetings included with this FREE limited-editon stamp set.   I chose to use the Birthday Wishes stamp set.    The edges on the left side of the layers were punched with the Corner Rounder Punch.  I liked the softness it added to my very feminine card.

But, what made my card looked finished was adding the embossed polka dots with the Sizzix Big Shot and Stampin' Up! Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.   Embossing elevates a card from good looking to lookin' good!
