Handmade Valentine gift ideas made with Stampin' Up! A Little Wild Set designed by Shelly Godby of www.stampingsmiles.comYou saw in the video what message was written inside the honey bear gift tag. The other two animal stamps from the A Little Wild Stamp Set can also be used for handmade Valentine gift ideas too. Just think back to the Valentines we exchange as children for the messages:

Lion – No lion, I love you!

Elephant – I’ll never forget how much I love you!

Or, you could simply use the “wild about you” stamp from the set. That will work with all three of the animals for a Valentine message for anyone special.

I can deal with the insanity if having a little extra time to get products from the Occasions Catalog is the second chance you needed. 🙂  The category is gone along the side.  You will need to put the item name or number in the Search the Store box to find the product.  Unless Stampin’ Up! changes their mind again (I really doubt it), you have through tomorrow only, June 4, 2014 to order Occasions Catalog products in my online store

There is one Occasions Catalog product that I know is sold out.  The beautiful Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper is gone.

The second “we’ve changed our mind” is about Holiday Catalog Carryover Products.  They will now be available through January 4, 2015.  You can download the list here. You’ll find select products from the 2012 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog and 2013 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.

If any of this is confusing to you, please email me with any questions you have.

Are you getting the savings from Stampin’ Up! bundles?

Stampin’ Up! offer discounts when a stamp set and a related product were purchased in a “bundle”.   This started with the 2012 Holiday Catalog.  And then the 2013 Spring Catalog that followed.  We were elated when they did the same in the 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

What was different in the large annual catalog is the bundles are not always on the same page as the stamp set, making them easy to overlook.  If overlooked, and the two products that are offered in a bundle are ordered separately, you miss out on the savings.   We certainly want you to always enjoy the 15% savings.

There is one more thing to note about bundles.  They are only offered for the duration of the first catalog in which they appear.  Even if the products are available in the next catalog, the bundle 15% savings price will not be.

Let’s be sure you get any and all bundle savings you can!   The first set of pictures are all the bundles from the 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.  The bundles are available in wood mount and clear mount.  The wood mount set is shown to the left of the clear mount of the same set.  Clicking on the pictures will take you into my online store  But, only through June 4, 2014.  Below the set of product pictures, you will find another for the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  Those bundles are available only through June 1, 2014.

Santa’s List will have Stampin’ Up! written down as nice

“He’s making a list and checking it twice . . . ”  is one of the greetings from the new Stampin’ Up! Santa’s List stamp set.  Stampin’ Up! will certainly be on his nice list.  They keep bringing wonderful new stampin’ toys to us throughout the year.  The Santa’s List stamp set is just one of many.

Stampin' Up! Santa's List Stamp Set

Santa’s coat is so detailed that it looked almost solid black when I stamped it.  I was seriously considering just giving him a wash in Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad ink and calling it vintage.  Before I knew it, I was watercoloring his coat in Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Pad ink (the striped designer paper had already been picked out before I started).  As you can see in the picture, the black was easily colored.   At least with a dark like Cherry Cobbler.

Stampin' Up Santa's List Stamp Set

The shading on his beard, cuffs on his and  trim  on his hat were down with Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad ink.  His list with Soft Suede.  Crumb cake would have been my first choice, actually it was, but it did not have any contrast against the trim of his coat.  His face with Blushing Bride.

Stampin' Up! Deco Labels Collection Framelits Dies

The bit of decoration added is Crumb Cake Card Stock die-cut with the new Stampin’ Up! Deco Labels Collection Framelits.  Just a bit of it peeking out from behind.  Like a child trying to get a peek at Santa putting gifts under the tree.

The touch of ribbon is a small piece of the limited-edition 1″ Cherry Cobbler Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog.

Stampin' Up! Santa's List Stamp Set

The Cherry Cobbler striped paper is from the Stampin’ Up! Season of Style Designer Series Paper.  It looks like candy cane stripes.  How fitting for Santa Claus.

Lower in the post I will list the stamping products for this handmade Christmas card.

Have you started to think about what your Christmas cards design this year will be?  Have you decided what stamp set you will be using?  If not, I can help you with four Christmas card ideas along with video instructions on how to make them, all the measurements and stamping supplies used in the Stamping Smiles Fast & Fabulous Christmas Cards VIDEO Class!

To err is human. Stampin’ Trimmer Rotary Addition Update

If to err is human, then I am so human. 🙂  In this case it was operator error.  Not the Stampin’ Trimmer Rotary Addition’s fault in the slightest.  Watch my video demonstration to see where I went wrong.

A big thank you to my friend Pat for shedding light on my issue with the Stampin’ Trimmer Rotary Addition.  It works like I hoped and expected it would.  Now I can hardly wait to make some handmade cards using my new stampin’ toy!
